Player of the Day – Duke von Schamann
The Duke, DVS, whatever you want to call him, had a great game today. Not overpowering, but he keeps the ball down as evidenced by his 11 groundball outs compared to just four flyouts. He allowed only three baserunners, though one was an error on O’Koyea Dickson. After posting an ERA of 5.00 in 16 games with the Lookouts last year, look for him to be one of the more reliable starters on Chattanooga’s staff in 2014.
