Player of the Day – Joc Pederson
Even with Matt Kemp starting the year on the DL, Pederson was expected to start the year in the minors. After a strong year with Chattanooga, the assignment at Albuquerque was expected; so was a boost to Pederson’s stats, as he moved from a pitcher’s league to a hitter’s league. So far, so good, as the 21 year old has homered in 3 of his last 4 games. He’s also drawn 4 walks compared to just 3 strikeouts. To boot, he’s also 3-for-6 against lefties. Another big season from young Joc is going to give the Dodgers some serious decisions to make.
