Player of the Day – O’Koyea Dickson
After the Topes scored 11 runs in the first inning of their game, I was sure the player of the day would come from their offense. But Chattanooga came up with a dozen of their own, with O’Koyea Dickson leading the way with two homers. The 24-year-old first baseman has struggled of late, though he did have a three-hit effort on Thursday. He’s now batting a respectable .268 with 3 homers in 16 games, though he has a ways to go to prove he can hit Double A pitching.
