Player of the Day – Alex Guerrero
Guerrero didn’t start the past few days, even though he made pinch-hit appearances and singled both times. He was back in the lineup Tuesday and did some damage, smacking his 4th home run of the year. Overall, Alex is hitting .328/.400/.612 with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 4 homers, 6 walks and 5 strikeouts. Obviously, it appears as though the bat is ready, though he needs to show some durability and consistent defense before the Dodgers think about calling him up to platoon at second with Dee Gordon.
