Player of the Day – Zach Lee
Lee has had an up and down season thus far, which doesn’t come as a surprise for a 22-year-old in Albuquerque. The right-hander has a solid 4.44 ERA through 13 starts with 55 strikeouts and 22 walks in 71 innings.
He’s allowed seven home runs in 13 starts, six of which have come in the Isotopes’ bandbox. Lee’s home ERA is actually far better than his road ERA, and he’s holding lefties to a lower average than righties. It’s hard to judge pitchers based on stats in the PCL, but Lee is holding his own in a very difficult environment.
