Player of the Day – Cody Bellinger
The Raptors are making a late push for the Pioneer League playoffs and one more win will clinch a berth. While they’d gotten strong pitching efforts over the past few games, it was their offense that carried them on Saturday.
Bellinger had a great night, with a pair of triples giving him four this season and 10 in his brief career. The 19-year-old first baseman is hitting .320/.361/.483 with the Raptors and provides excellent defense at first. Ogden has a 3.5-game lead with 4 to go, so barring an complete meltdown, they should be bound for postseason play.
