[new_royalslider id=”158″] Ogden won 12-5

Cody Bellinger – 2 for 4, 2 R, BB, K, E
Julian Leon – 3 for 3, HR (12), 5 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB
Alex Verdugo – 3 for 5, 3 RBI, R, K, 2 SB

Jeff Brigham – 4 IP, 3 Hits, 3 R (2 ER), BB, 5 K’s

Player of the Day – Julian Leon

Only the Raptors are still playing regular season games. They play again Wednesday and Thursday, then begin their playoff run. Leon, an 18-year-old catcher from Mexico, is now hitting .330/.415/.566 with 14 doubles and 12 home runs in 61 games with Ogden.

He’s also drawn 30 walks, showing advanced offensive skill for such a young player. It is the Pioneer League, so the stats should be taken with a healthy grain of salt, but Leon is one of the club’s more exciting position prospects.
