Primaries and Starter Elections
No this isn’t a political website to notify you about your upcoming primary elections, MLB has gone full democratic this year with their voting process. The traditional process had fans choosing from a ballot of players nominated from the clubs themselves. This is now a 25 day event that is aptly being called, “The Primary.” After this Primary has whittled down the selections, a 28 hour event of voting will determine the starters.
The Primary voting has begun and will end on Friday, June 21, at 4 p.m. Voting for The Starters will launch at noon ET on Wednesday, June 26, and conclude at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
Where Can You Vote? (For The Dodgers)
As usual, you can go to mlb.com/vote to cast your ballot. However, this year Google has partnered with MLB to make it easy, and you can vote here using Google! You can vote up to 5 times every 24 hours. Suffice it to say, Dodgers Nation will be reminding everyone to get the vote out!
