Dodgers: Mookie Betts Gets Engaged to Girlfriend of 15 years

Mookie Betts is living his best life since being traded to the Dodgers. Not only did he sign a massive 12-year extension, but Betts also just won his second World Series. His first was against LA, but we don’t have to talk about that.

And now, Mookie is going to be adding another ring. The Dodgers superstar outfielder proposed to his long-time girlfriend Brianna Hammonds this week, and she said yes! Betts popped the question to his girlfriend of 15 years in his hometown of Nashville.

Betts was recently given the honor of the 2020 LegaCCy Award from former the PitCCh Foundation, and charity ran by former MLB pitcher CC Sabathia and his wife Amber. Betts had told Brianna that on Thursday night, they were going to celebrate that honor with a dinner with the Sabathia’s. That’s when the Dodgers outfielder got down on one knee.

Winning another World Series was great, but putting a ring on my MVP is the real blessing! I am a blessed man.

Betts accepted the award with a speech and called his girlfriend to the stage with him to thank her. Betts reportedly read a poem to his love before asking the question. Close family and friends were in attendance for the ceremony.
