Dodgers: Mookie Betts Returns to the Lineup for Series Opener Against Colorado
The Dodgers and Rockies are set to kick off a three-game series starting tonight here in LA. And after sitting out the past week due to lower back tightness, the Dodgers will have Mookie Betts back in the lineup tonight.
Said he turned a corner a few days ago but they wanted to make sure he was 100 percent ready.
Said it was initially bothering him when he was running.

The return of Betts matches up with the timeline that Dave Roberts provided over the weekend. The injury was never thought to be severe, but playing it safe made sense given the depth that this Dodgers team has. Zach McKinstry has filled in brilliantly while Betts and Bellinger have both been nursing injuries, and he should continue to see regular playing time even with Mookie coming back.
The Dodgers will go with Trevor Bauer to open up the series, and he will go up against the Rockies’ Antonio Senzatela. Betts will once again lead off for LA as they look for their 9th win of the season.
Notably, this will be the first time both Mookie and Bauer will play in front of real life, human fans at Dodger Stadium as Dodgers.
