Dodgers News: Albert Pujols Signs, Bauer Goes Off, Kershaw Talks Showboating, and More!

It’s been a while since we’ve had a transaction-packed couple of days from the Dodgers like we just experienced this week. There were signings, trades, and a whole heck of a lot of roster movement. And more should be coming this week. Let’s dive into some of the biggest news this week!

The single biggest piece of news this week was arguably the Dodgers signing Albert Pujols. The future Hall of Fame first baseman was cut loose by the Angels, but almost no one expected Los Angeles to scoop him up. That announcement should be coming as soon as Monday.

Trevor Bauer let out some of his frustrations following a start in Anaheim last weekend. He talked about how angry he was that they weren’t able to walk away with a win given how bad the team had been playing. But Andre Ethier fully agreed with TB.

Dodgers fans were shocked to hear the news that the team was not going to be selling Farmer Joh hot dogs at the stadium moving forward. But the club announced the new supplier this week, and the feedback has been mostly positive early on.

Clayton Kershaw is a little bit old school. I think even he would agree with me on that opinion. But he’s not opposed to players showing their emotions and character on the field. He just thinks there is a line that you don’t cross.

And finally, Los Angeles swung a deal with the Rays on Saturday to get another depth option. They traded for Yoshi Tsutsugo and he should be with the team as early as Monday. Tsutsugo was an offensive machine when he played in Japan.
