Dodgers News And Rumors: Don Mattingly Has High Hopes For Joc Pederson
[new_royalslider id=”50″]
The Los Angeles Dodgers are by no means lacking in outfield depth. However, the extent of their outfield consists primarily of players who are natural corner- outfielders, which leaves center field a position in question.
With Matt Kemp’s withering outfield presence and the subpar tandem of Scott Van Slyke and Andre Ethier in center field, manager Don Mattingly has begun to entertain the idea of Yasiel Puig making the transition from right to center field.
However, Mattingly described current Triple-A outfielder Joc Pederson as the best center fielder in the Dodgers’ organization. The 22-year-old prospect flashed some leather in a recent game and has been impressive at the plate throughout the season.
