[new_royalslider id=”26″]

On Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers easily beat the St. Louis Cardinals 9-1, third baseman Justin Turner became the latest Dodger to be placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Turner suffered a strained hamstring while rounding first base on his RBI double in the second inning. The latest injury for Turner is a blow to the Dodgers as the infielder was having a productive month of June hitting .389 with 22 hits and 11 RBIs

The Dodgers on recalled infielder Carlos Triunfel from Triple-A, who was just sent down after Juan Uribe returned from the DL on Thursday.

Triunfel has only played in nine games for the Dodgers and has been primarily put in games for defensive purposes this season.
