Dodgers News And Rumors: Kemp Wants Best Record In NL
[new_royalslider id=”328″]
The Los Angeles Dodgers began their three-game series against the San Francisco Giants with their magic number at three in order to clinch the National League West title. The Dodgers have already clinched a spot in the postseason, but still have plenty to play for, which Matt Kemp placed an importance on.
While much of the talk has been centered on the Dodgers repeating as division champions, Matt Kemp said he was hopeful the Dodgers would win out and secure the best record in the NL. Monday’s loss ended Kemp’s hope of the Dodgers closing the season out without suffering another loss and the Dodgers fell to three games back of the Washington Nationals.
Although home field advantage throughout the division and championship series would be an ideal scenario, the Dodgers should not feel too disappointed if they do not achieve the feat — they’re 49-32 on the road, which is the best road record in the Majors.
