After a dominating 2014 season, Clayton Kershaw is in line to win his third NL Cy Young Award in four years and he’s also positioned himself as the frontrunner for the NL MVP. His 21 wins tied a career high and 1.77 ERA was the lowest in baseball and his seven-year career.
On Wednesday, Kershaw’s performance garnered more recognition as it was announced the left-hander is in the running for four Players Choice Awards. In addition to potentially winning the Cy Young and MVP, Kershaw can be named Player of the Year, Man of the Year, National League Outstanding Player and NL Outstanding Pitcher.
The Players Choice winners will be announced after the World Series concludes and will be broadcast on MLB TV Nov. 3.
