Dodgers News And Rumors: Clayton Kershaw’s Return Still Pending

[new_royalslider id=”10″]

Clayton Kershaw has been away from the Los Angeles Dodgers for over a month as he strives to return to the team as soon as he possible. After his first rehab start in Rancho Cucamonga, the Dodgers ace claimed he was ready to return to the big leagues. Although he went five solid innings and felt no soreness during the outing, the organization made Kershaw complete another rehab start.

On Wednesday, the left-hander increased his pitch count to 86 pitches with the Chattanooga Lookouts. Recording nine strikeouts, Kershaw was hoping to pitch for at least six or seven innings as he tries to inch towards a 100-plus pitch count. The Dodger starter did not hold back when talking about his frustrations about his stint on the disabled list and admitted to feeling isolated from his teammates.

Although a Monday return has been in the talks, the organization has stated that they don’t feel Kershaw is ready to come back just yet. They continue to exercise extreme caution with their ace as they try to hold an eager Kershaw back from returning too soon.
