Dodgers News And Rumors: Magic Johnson Refutes Interest In Clippers

[new_royalslider id=”112″]

The NBA is facing a huge scandal after a recording of someone believed to be Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist comments has taken over the sports world. Sterling’s future with the Clippers remains up in the air, though many have voiced a strong opinion he be removed as owner.

Los Angeles Dodgers owner Magic Johnson has been vocal since the news broke, perhaps largely due to the fact a picture of him and Sterling’s former girlfriend was the source of the recording’s argument. The Instagram post has been since removed, but Johnson has vocalized his disdain for the Clippers owner and expressed his sympathies for Chris Paul and Doc Rivers.

According to a source, Johnson and his Guggenheim business partners are interested in acquiring the Clippers should the team be put up for sale. The NBA legend is looking to create a Los Angeles sports empire and adding an NBA franchise into the mix of his MLB and WNBA teams is seemingly the next step towards his goals. However, by Monday afternoon, Johnson tweeted refuting the account.
