Dodgers News: Chris Taylor Exits With Foot Injury Again
It’s been a rough stretch for Chris Taylor recently The strikeouts have piled up on the homestand, and he hasn’t been very productive. Add in the foul ball off of his foot that forced him out of the Dodgers win on Saturday, and you have a tough week for CT.
That tough week got worse on Monday evening in Los Angeles. Taylor jumped into the wall awkwardly trying to size up a homerun ball that barely cleared the wall. He landed on that foot that was already bruised, and it sounds like it got worse. The Dodgers removed him from the game and changed up the defensive alignment after that.
After the win, CT admitted that his foot was getting worse as the game went on.
“It’s something that it was feeling better before the game and I thought it wasn’t going to be an issue and I was going to be able to play through it. But every inning it got worse and worse and it got to a point where it wasn’t worth continuing to try and push it.”
Other Dodgers News
At least one MLB writer thinks that Clayton Kershaw not only should be in the All-Star Game this year but that he should be starting. It would be fitting, given that the Dodgers are hosting and he has never started a Mid-Summer Classic before. But do the number of innings under his belt currently warrant the nod?
