Dodgers News: Cody Bellinger Comments on Hitting a Home Run off Julio Urias

Cody Bellinger hit a home run off Julio Urias. Painful words for Dodgers fans that have a hard time letting go. On Sunday, Bellinger connected on his 3rd home run in a Cubs uniform and his first against his old club.

After the game, he spoke about the Belli bomb with Marquee Sports Network and took a second to share some appreciation for his former teammate.

“It felt good. It was off a really good pitcher, Julio. There’s nothing but love and respect.”

The two will forever be connected by LA’s World Series title run in 2020 where both played massive roles in bringing home a ring for the first time in more than three decades.

Urias said he missed his spot with the pitch he threw to Bellinger but didn’t offer much else about the moment.

“I wanted it more away,” Julio said through a translator. “I was trying to attack him on the outer half and missed my spot. We obviously know he has a lot of power. He gave me his best swing, and I paid the price.”

It wasn’t a cheapy, that’s for sure.
