Dodgers News: Cody Bellinger Represents L.A. Well in HR Derby
Cody Bellinger didn’t win the Home Run Derby, but he put on a memorable performance nonetheless.
The Dodgers rookie slugger edged Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon, 15-14, in the opening round. He lost to eventual champ Aaron Judge of the Yankees in the following round, 13-12.
“That was really fun,” Bellinger said. “I’m glad I did it.”
Bellinger originally said he wouldn’t participate unless his father, Clay, pitched to him. Clay played for the Yankees and Angels for four seasons.
