Dodgers News: Daniel Hudson Leaves Game With An Injury

When it rains, it pours. And right now the injury rain cloud is pouring all over this Dodgers team. They already lost Walker Buehler for most of the regular season and Mookie Betts also just went down with a rib injury. That came after a flurry of injuries already had depleted the team.

You might have to add Daniel Hudson to that list. The Dodgers pitcher had to come out of the game on Friday night after a non-contact play. Ronald Acuna Jr tapped a ball out in front of home plate and Hudson tried to pounce on it. His knee bent awkwardly and he immediately went to the ground.

The Dodgers training team came onto the field with Dave Roberts and removed him from the game. Hudson was able to walk off of the field under his own power, but he limped very slowly all the way back to the dugout. It was a tough play to watch, even in real-time.

Hudson is 35 years old and playing in his 13th big league season. The Dodgers picked him up again this year after he spent the 2018 season with Los Angeles. He’s also been a pretty big part of the bullpen while guys like Blake Treinen have been out.

In his place, the Dodgers went with Brusdar Graterol to get them out of the 8th inning.
