Dodgers News: David Peralta Exits Sundays Game Early with Injury

Bad news for the Dodgers on Sunday morning as the club loses David Peralta from the game after the outfielder was drilled on his left elbow by a Trevor Williams fastball. Peralta was immediately tended to by trainers and was quickly removed from the game by manager Dave Roberts.

The outfielder grimaced in pain while keeping his left arm immobile.

He also showed some discomfort in his right hand / wrist area just one pitch prior to getting plunked.

Kiké Hernandez came in to run for Peralta and will stay in the game in left field. The Dodgers hold a 4-0 lead over the Nationals early in the contest.

UPDATE

The Dodgers said that Peralta is dealing with a left elbow contusion.

It shouldn’t be anything that keeps him out of the lineup for long.
