Dodgers News: Dayton to Return to L.A., Ethier Injury Update
Dave Roberts gave reporters a few answers in regards to the Dodgers’ injured players before Thursday’s afternoon game against the San Francisco Giants.
Grant Dayton who has been on the 10-day disabled list since he last appeared in a game on April 17, against the Arizona Diamondbacks will be returning to the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Friday.
As of today, @GrantDayton is supposed to be activated off of DL tomorrow. Avilan only LHP in pen today, with @adamlib21 being optioned today

Adam Liberatore was optioned before Thursday’s game so that Julio Urias could be activated. This means that it could be Josh Fields who gets sent down once again when the Dodgers activate Dayton.
The team also received an update on Andre Ether, which was not exactly positive news.
Roberts told reporters that the earliest Ethier would be back with the team is June. He is still nowhere near close to resuming baseball activities.

Ethier will need his very own spring training after he resumes baseball activities, meaning that his rehab will be weeks long, lengthening his absence from the major league team.

There is no set date as to when Ethier will resume his own baseball activity, meaning the date of his return could be pushed back later than June.
