Dodgers News: Dodgers’ Playoff Tickets Sell Out in 30 Minutes
A day after clinching the NL West Crown and announcing on Wednesday that postseaon tickets would go on sale this morning, the Dodgers officially sold out NLDS and NLCS tickets in the first 30 minutes of going on sale.
It’s been such an amazing second half for the Dodgers and fans couldn’t wait long enough to see this run continue as the Dodgers had their pre-public Twitter sale for tickets sell out before their public sale at 10 a.m.
According to Bill Shaikin of the L.A. Times, the Dodgers have officially sold out of all postseason tickets for the first two playoff series:
#Dodgers say NLDS and NLCS tickets sold out this morning. No date announced for possible sale of World Series tix.
— Bill Shaikin (@BillShaikin) September 20, 2013
The Dodgers still trail the St. Louis Cardinals by one game for the second best record in the N.L. and the Atlanta Braves by three games for the best record with nine games to go.
It’s no secret the Dodgers have had incredible fan support this season as they’ve led major league baseball in attendance since the start of the season and Dodger Stadium has been rocking.
Fans have high hopes for this Dodgers team and it showed through their support during this amazing run to finish the season. Although there has been no announcement of a possible date for World Series tickets to go on sale, many odds-makers and analysts believe that this 2013 Dodgers team is the favorite to win it all so those tickets won’t last long either.
Here is the complete 2013 postseason schedule, sites TBD.
