Dodgers News: Dustin May’s Nasty Stuff on Display in Rehab Start

The Dodgers are on a roll right now. They’ve won 9 consecutive games and have swept 2 consecutive series against the Giants and Padres. Even with the guys that they have out with injuries, they seem like they’re unstoppable.

And they should only be getting more help from here on out. The Dodgers have Dustin May making rehab starts at Triple-A, and he should be returning to the big league squad very soon. May just appeared in his 5th game for the OKC team, and it was phenomenal.

May tossed 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run, punching out 8 batters and giving out a long free pass. But the Dodgers’ hurler had everything on display in this one. Aside from his triple-digit heater, May also showed off a nasty curveball and cutter.

For the moment, the Dodgers are planning on D-May making another rehab start before joining the big league team. It’s unclear if anything has changed following his start last night. But when he does get back to Los Angeles, the firepower in the rotation will be phenomenal.

The Dodgers will get back May, Walker Buehler, Blake Treinen, Brusdar Graterol, and possibly Tommy Kahnle before the end of the year, assuming everything goes well. That’s one heck of a pitching staff to add in late.
