Floro is reportedly on the IL with neck inflammation, but it could quite possibly be a use of the phantom IL stint due to Floro’s struggles as of late.
Floro, 28, was fantastic last season after the Dodgers acquired him for the Cincinnati Reds, posting a 1.63 ERA in 27 2/3 innings. This season has gone a bit different with Dylan Floro pitching to the tune of a 4.11 ERA across 35 innings.
The issue, however, is his performance of late. Since his fantastic scoreless streak came to an end on May 11 of this season, Floro has an 8.15 ERA in 17 2/3 innings. Over the last few weeks, Floro has somewhat improved, only allowing one earned run since June 30. This should give Floro the necessary time to get back into the right frame of mind and return to the form he was in when the Dodgers acquired him.
