Dodgers News: Fans React to Gavin Lux’s Season-Ending Injury

The Dodger fanbase was hit with some tough news on Tuesda, when it was announced that starting shortstop Gavin Lux would be out for the season with a torn ACL. Lux suffered the injury running to third base in the team’s Cactus League game on Monday, and will now be sidelined for the entire 2023 season.

The news didn’t feel good for anybody. Lux was holding back tears as he spoke to the media. Dave Roberts sounded dejected talking about it. And, of course, Dodger fans were sick to their stomachs on Twitter.

At a time like this, though, it’s important for fans to come together to share their love and support for Lux. And that’s exactly what Dodger fans did.

It’s definitely a little easier to take difficult news when you’re surrounded with love, so it’s nice to see Dodger fans, and really baseball fans everywhere, coming together on Twitter to support Lux. He said he feels the love and support, and thanked the Dodger fans for being the “best fanbase in the world.”
