Dodgers News: Gavin Lux Hopes Trea Turner is in LA for a Long, Long Time
The Dodgers did it again on Monday night. They won a ballgame. Things got a little dicey in the 9th inning when Craig Kimbrel quickly loaded the bases thanks to a series of unfortunate events (single and two walks). It was primed to go from bad to worse but thankfully Gavin Lux stepped in.

The second baseman, playing in only his second game in more than two weeks, snagged a hot shot off the bat of Sergio Alcantara and turned it into a double play. Alcantara’s smash had an expected batting average of .670, but Lux got a glove on it on a hop and flipped it over to shortstop Trea Turner.
After the game, Luxy was the on-field guest on the postgame show where he was asked about his double play partner over at short. He let it be known that he’d love to keep working with Trea for a long, long time.
I love playing next to him. If it were up to me, I’d hope he’d be here for the next ten years. But, he’s a lot of fun to play with. He’s such a good player, such a smart player and I love picking his brain every day.
Turner is, of course, a free agent after this season. Recently much talk has been made about his offseason plans and where he might want to end up…

…but for now, his mind is on a championship with Los Angeles.
It was actually a single and two hit by pitches. Not walks.
