Dodgers News: Hanley Ramirez Hasn’t Had MRI, Feeling Better
It wasn’t a good sight to see as Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez was hunched over grabbing his right shoulder after a wind-blown fly ball took him into the first row of seats at Wrigley Field yesterday afternoon.
With him in the lineup, the Dodgers are 33-13 as his incredible hitting coupled together with Yasiel Puig’s ability to get on-base and Adrian Gonzalez’s consistency have translated into 31 wins in 38 games.
However, Arash Markazi of ESPNLA.com got word from Don Mattingly that Ramirez was feeling better:
Mattingly said Ramirez has not had MRI, feels better and is optimistic he’ll be back soon but didn’t have a timetable.

While the news of Hanley not having an MRI is surprising, Yasiel Puig will be back in the lineup this afternoon after missing yesterday’s game with a contusion in his left wrist.
To put into words how important Hanley is would be impossible as the Dodgers are 33-13 with him in the lineup as he’s been a key force behind thee 14-game road winning streak.
It’s possible that there’s still some swelling in the shoulder area before the Dodgers and the trainers decide that an MRI is the next step to get him back on the field.
