Dodgers News: Happy Birthday, Kenta Maeda

Let’s take a moment and wish Kenta Maeda a very Happy 29th Birthday!

Maeken began his quest with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016 and became a star right off the bat..no pun intended. He threw 175.2 innings and a record of 16-11 with a 3.48 ERA in 32 games.

And who can forget his MLB debut?

Maeda was born in Osaka, Japan in 1988 and “idolized” one of the greatest Japanese-born players in the majors, Ichiro Suzuki. *As told by Vin Scully*

Maeda fell short his first start of the 2017 season against the San Diego Padres on April 4, but bounced back against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday, April 9. His next start is on Wednesday against the 2016 World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs.

But first, lets take a look back at some of King Kenta’s biggest moments in 2016!

Wishing a future Hall-of-Famer to Maeda!
