Dodgers News: Jake Reed Passes Through Waivers

The saga continues. With Jake Reed officially passing through waivers, the option for the Dodgers to bring him back for a fourth time comes back on the table.

It’s truly been an unfortunate timeline for Reed who simply can’t find himself on a roster. His time with the Dodgers has given the organization enough reason to keep bringing him back but perhaps his time with the team is finally done.

In 2022, Reed spent time with the Mets, Orioles, and Dodgers which goes to show no matter what team he ends up on, there is a chance he ends up leaving.

In just two seasons in the league, Reed has been bounced around five different teams across three different organizations.

It’s a lot to keep track of, but perhaps this can help truly decipher the journey Reed has been on. Until then, Reed continues to ride the the wave of the next team who will take a chance on him.

The skillsets are clearly there for Reed despite only being in the league for two seasons. Reed arguably had his moments of his career with the Dodgers last year where he recorded a 1.93 ERA over five games (4.2 innings pitched).

Where will Reed end up next? Will he come back to the Dodgers for a fourth time? It’s hard to imagine at this point that even Reed trusts he will make an impact with the Dodgers if called upon again.
