Dodgers News: Joe Kelly Lands on Injured List with Elbow Issue
Minutes after the start of Sunday afternoon’s series finale against the visiting Rockies, the Dodgers announced that reliever Joe Kelly was placed on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation. The move was retroactive to August 10th.
MLB.com’s Juan Toribio was among those to report the move.
There was no corresponding move before the game meaning the Dodgers are playing a man down on Sunday. With the off day on Monday, no move will be needed until Tuesday when the club welcomes the Brewers to Dodger Stadium.
Kelly has tossed 3.2 scoreless innings since rejoining the team before the trade deadline. He last pitched on August 9th against the Diamondbacks.
For Kelly, this isn’t his first bout with elbow inflammation this season. He missed a few weeks in July and returned from the IL just days before being traded to the Dodgers.
The earliest he can return is August 25th in Boston.

I’m not surprised to see Kelly back on the IL. When he played for us before it seemed like he was injured most if the time.
