Dodgers News: Julio Urias Earns Another Start and Shines vs. Nationals | VIDEO
Prior to his start vs. the Washington Nationals the Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Tuesday that pitcher Julio Urias earned another start. However, after Wednesday’s games vs. the Nationals Urias might have made a case for maybe one after that following his performance.
Urias had a strong outing at Dodger Stadium throwing a career-high 94 pitches in 5 innings in the Dodgers 4-3 win.
Urias has ?1 BB and ?4 K in five of his first six games. Only one MLB pitcher ever did that in all six games. That's opposing P Joe Ross.

Urias was most impressive vs. former NL MVP Bryce Harper. Harper struggled against Clayton Kershaw’s arm on Monday and struggled against the teenager in the series finale.

After his start on Wednesday, it is unclear when Urias next schedule start will be. However, manager Dave Roberts has been impressed with Urias so far, and says he has “earned the right to keep going.” He also spoke how Mike Bolsinger getting sent back to Triple-A played a role in Urias receiving another start.
From Doug Padilla, ESPN:
If the Dodgers find a spot starter for Friday at Pittsburgh, Urias will have his next outing on Tuesday at Milwaukee. If the Dodgers use Thursday’s off day to keep their pitchers on regular rest, Urias will pitch Monday at Pittsburgh.
While Urias has done well to earn another start, the recent demotion of starter Mike Bolsinger played a factor.
“That’s a variable as well, yeah,” Roberts said. “And so you’re looking at the depth we have, but there are guys going down, so this is as an important part of the season as any.”
If Urias starts on Tuesday he will face a familiar foe vs. the Milwaukee Brewers. In his last outing vs. the Brewers he had a career-high 8 strikeouts and recorded his first scoreless outing in the majors with five scoreless innings.
