Dodgers News: Justin Turner the New Dodgers’ Stats Leader
Just when you thought the San Francisco Giants would escape with the NL West title, the Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the hunt and find themselves just one game back from first place. The Dodgers are coming off a huge series win vs. the Boston Red Sox where a few players had career nights.
The Dodgers currently have a record of 62-49, which some may find surprising after Clayton Kershaw was added to the always-growing Dodger’s disabled list back in June. Since then, Justin Turner has caught fire and kept the Dodgers’ playoff hopes alive.
In fact, on Monday, the MLB Stat of the Day twitter account tweeted out Turner’s red hot stats dating back to June 13th.
Somebody forgot to tell @redturn2 he’s not supposed to be an MVP candidate. pic.twitter.com/mL8oZJzzul

Since catching fire on June 13th, Turner has not only been at the top of almost all batting categories for the National League, but he has also settled in as one of the most consistent power hitters in the Dodger’s lineup.
Alongside of rookie phenom, Corey Seager, and veteran all-star, Adrian Gonzalez, Turner is silently leading the Dodgers in almost all offensive categories.

Dodgers News: Rob Segedin Makes History in Dodgers DebutWe’re all hopeful Turner continues to stay hot and lead the Dodgers to the promise land as they wrap up their last half of the regular season.
Turner and the Dodgers will be home for the next six games, starting with their three game series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
