Dodgers News: Kevin Pillar Reveals He is Not Done For the Season

The Dodgers have some incredible depth right now. With the number of names expected back before the season is over, Andrew Friedman and his team clearly did not think they needed to make a move at the trade deadline. And he might have been right.

But one little surprise appears to be with Kevin Pillar. The Dodgers outfielder went down with a broken scapula back at the beginning of June. Pillar sustained those injuries on consecutive hard slides, seemingly putting him out for the season.

But he doesn’t think so. Pillar said this week that he does expect to rejoin the Dodgers before the regular season is over.

The thing is, the Dodgers really don’t need him at the moment. Pillar went 1-for-12 in his 4 games for the Dodgers and didn’t do much at all. While they did need him at the time, that doesn’t appear to be the case as the season comes to a close.

Mookie Betts is having fun with the Dodgers this year. And he should be. The superstar outfielder is playing for a team on a roll right now, with the best record in baseball. And Red Sox fans are finally starting to accept that he might be happier playing out west.
