Dodgers News: Latest on Brett Anderson, Trayce Thompson to Begin Rehab Assignment
The Los Angeles Dodgers seem to be keeping quiet about which player they are looking to trade for. Rumors are coming up claiming the Dodgers are in the process of a 3-team trade that would land Jay Bruce in L.A.
If the trade does happen it could end Yasiel Puig’s time with the Dodgers.
Should the Dodgers Pursue a Trade for Jay Bruce?Could signal the end of Puig as a Dodger, period. Heard they've been trying to attach him in deals they've proposed.

Whether that trade happens still remains to be seen, and for now the Dodgers must focus on getting their players back healthy. Pitcher Brett Anderson (back) pitched for the first time on Thursday, while Trayce Thompson (back) hopes to return soon as well.
Anderson pitched for the first time in 2016 as he began his rehab assignment with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Anderson pitched for 3 innings and allowed 5 hits, one run and had one strikeout.
After the outing Anderson had this to say:
“It was kind of like a normal outing, I gave up my fair share of hits, some choppers, some ground ball singles, got some ground balls, ” Anderson tells Craig Minami of True Blue L.A.
“I was fairly efficient, 36 pitches through three, I had to go throw 19 more down in the bullpen, that’s alway good to be efficient for the first time.”
Anderson is slated to make two more rehab starts and is expected to pitch 5 innings in his next start.

As for Thompson he could be starting his rehab assignment soon. Thompson was placed on the DL with lower back irritation.
Trayce Thompson said he's hoping to take BP tomorrow. Hit off tee again today; still thinking he can begin a rehab assignment next week.
