Dodgers News: Michael Grove Officially Recalled, Jackson Optioned
The Dodgers officially clinched the division on Tuesday in a win against the Diamondbacks and now officially have their eyes set on the postseason. Like any team, the Dodgers want to be cautious moving forward with the flurry of injuries already having plagued the team all season long.
With notable players sitting out the final game of the series, Michael Grove gets the start on the mound after reports of Grove being called up on Wednesday. The team announced that Grove had been recalled from Triple-A and Andre Jackson was sent back there in return.

Grove has appeared in three games for the Dodgers and looks to make his third start this season. Grove has pitched a 4.82 ERA in his previous three appearances, but most recently started against the Marlins and went 4.2 innings giving up two earned runs on five hits and delivering four strikeouts.
Grove was drafted in the second round by the Dodgers and has since made his impact playing in Tulsa and OKC. After making his way to Tulsa, Grove went on to have his most impressive stats since being drafted posting a 2.76 ERA with 22 strikeouts in five games.
The call up helps the Dodgers rest while giving Grove another opportunity to make a name for himself in the big leagues. Grove has yet to record any decisions in his first two starts with his chance coming in a closeout game against the Diamondbacks.
Jackson pitched the final inning of Monday night’s win in Arizona.
