Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Excited for First Bowling Event with New Foundation

Mookie Betts will be hosting his inaugural Mookie Betts + Friends Bowling Tournament on Wednesday, February 8 at Lucky Strike at LA Live. The event starts at 6:00 pm and is sure to be a night full of entertainment.

This night is also an opportunity to give back to a beneficial cause. The Dodger All-Star will be raising money with his new charity, The 5050 Foundation, which positively influences the youth. The foundation strives to assist children both medically and financially.

“I am very excited to host the inaugural Mookie Betts + Friends Bowling Tournament which will benefit my newly created foundation,” said Mookie Betts. “Brianna and I are committed to helping break barriers that impact the next generation of children, and what better way to raise money than by bowling for a good cause. We’re looking forward to spending time with those who come out for the event.”

The event will also feature a silent auction with a range of signed items from all the greats from Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Barry Bonds, Eddie Murray, Jalen Ramsey, and Torii Hunter.  What’s even more exciting is the auction for a round of golf with former All-Star outfielder Kenny Lofton.

The night continues with the bowling tournament that kicks off at 7 p.m., where one lucky winner will have the chance to win a mystery bag worth up to $5,000. To be a part of the fun-filled night, remember to purchase your tickets at www.the5050foundation.org.
