Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Finishes Behind Judge as Top Right Fielder Right Now

Being in any conversation with Aaron Judge automatically puts you in great company. However, the same could be said when you’re hearing the name Mookie Betts. The Dodgers’ star is among the best players in baseball. And now, once again, he’s been named as one of the best right fielders in baseball as well.

MLB Network dropped the annual “Top 10 Right Now” series and ranked the top 10 right fielders in the game right now. Familiar names on the list include Fernando Tatis Jr., Ronald Acuña Jr., Bryce Harper and of course Judge. Landing right behind Judge as the number two right fielder in the game belongs to Betts.

The greatness of Betts is easily seen as in just his first season with the Dodgers he helped the team bring home its seventh World Series championship in 2020. Despite an early postseason exit in 2022, Betts was a literal leader at the top of the batting order, helping LA set a franchise record in wins.

The Dodgers still have talent on their roster, but will consistently remain in the championship conversation as long as Betts is on the team. Dodgers fans should be prepared for many more great years from their All-Star outfielder.

Betts will be called upon more than ever for the upcoming season in part due to the huge roster turnover. With the help of Freddie Freeman and Will Smith along with their still strong pitching staff, the Dodgers will continue to be a team to look for on the schedule.
