In happier news, LA fans saw the debut of another heralded prospect this week with infielder Miguel Vargas making the jump from AAA to the MLB club. While not as splashy as rookie teammate James Outman’s first at-bat, Vargas still connected for a two-run double in his debut game and Dodger hurler Blake Treinen went above and beyond to ensure the rookie would be able to hold on to that keepsake baseball.
