Dodgers News: Players Welcome Scott Kazmir
The Dodgers and Scott Kazmir agreed to a three-year, $48 million deal on Wednesday afternoon. It was pretty fitting that a deal was struck with the left-hander on Sandy Koufax’s 80th birthday.
Twitter exploded as it tends to anytime the Dodgers do just about anything, and the players wanted in on that action. They had their fun, that’s for sure.

Here’s what Kazmir had to say about that.
What a great day to officially be a Dodger! Happy birthday to my lefty idol Sandy Koufax!

Kazmir could be the final piece in an all left-handed starting pitching rotation, and that led to a few jokes among Dodger players:
Hey @ClaytonKersh22 the entire rotation is going to use your glove as a sign of solidarity.

A.J. Ellis is looking forward to the free time he’ll have now that he won’t have to work on right-handed scouting reports:
@BrettAnderson35 @ClaytonKersh22 I’m excited….no more RH scouting reports….so much more time to steam and graze.

Meanwhile, one player feels left out because of all the left-handedness. Perhaps a potential lawsuit is coming?
.@Dodgers This is blatant handism and I’m filing a hostile workplace grievance

All the left-handedness gave Adrian Gonzalez an interesting idea:
@BrettAnderson35 @Dodgers @ClaytonKersh22 all right-handed lineups, will I get a ground ball all year?

@ClaytonKersh22 @AJEllis17 @BrettAnderson35 just pitch all righties in and I can pull up a lawn chair at first base. Assist king 2016!!!

In all seriousness, it’s fun to see this type of interaction among teammates on social media. Athletes in general are usually pretty stale on social media, but the Dodgers sure do have some that excel at it.
