Dodgers News: RHP Conner Greene Out of Los Angeles, Claimed by Baltimore

The Dodgers revolving door of random arms out in the bullpen continues this week. Despite the injuries and underperformances that have plagued the pitching staff as a whole, Andrew Freidman has managed to piece together veteran arms to get the job done.

One of those guys they brought in on waivers was Conner Greene. The hard-throwing right-hander came over on waivers and appeared in just 2 games for the Dodgers. In both of those appearances, he worked a scoreless outing, allowed 1 hit, and struck 1 out.

The Dodgers designated him for assignment over the weekend in a series of moves that also brought Shane Greene on board. That Greene had a rough debut with his new team om Sunday afternoon.

But Conner Greene did get the boot, and Baltimore scooped him back up today. His former team claimed him on waivers and Greene is headed back to the Orioles again. So he made just 2 appearances with the Dodgers and got sent off.

The good news is that the Dodgers did get a good inning of work out of Neftali Feliz over the weekend. The former All-Star closer showed good velocity combined with a decent slider, and he could end up being a big addition to the pen.

  1. Has got to be the worse feeling in the world: going from a WS contender to a losing franchise. Good luck to him.

    1. hard to figure what LA is doing…come Sept 1 they expand the roster. You mean there was no room for him? So Drysdale, Osteen, Brewer and Koo-foo are coming back?

  2. How about 65yr Bruihl? Can we expect an inning or two of solid relief from him most outings as well? says:

I think we let one get away! Although, if there’s anything the Dodgers know, it’s pitching.
