Dodgers News: Willie Calhoun, Alex Verdugo, and Other Minor League Players To Instruct Youth Camp Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting the 2016 Youth Camp Series from Dec. 10-18 in Los Angeles and Redondo Beach. The camps are open for baseball and softball players of all skill levels.

There are three different camp types:

1. Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Winter Youth Baseball Camp
2. Dodger Blue League Experience Camps
3. Dodger Training Camps

The Winter Youth Baseball Camp will take place on Dec. 10-11 at Dodger Stadium from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Cost: $450

This opportunity will include:

• Being on the field playing games
• Taking batting practice in the Dodgers batting cages
• Learning how to pitch in the Dodger bullpen
• Sitting in the Dodger dugout learning the game of baseball

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-12 of all skills.

The Dodger Big League Experience Camps will also take place at Dodger Stadium. Below is the following dates and times of each specific age group.

Cost: $399

Instructor Ratio: 1 instructor for every 8 campers

The campers will receive:

• LA Dodgers T-Shirt
• Gift bag
• Commemorative photograph taken during camp
• Behind the scenes tour of the Dodgers clubhouse area
• Four (4) reserve level vouchers that can be redeemed for a Dodgers preseason game at Dodger Stadium (date TBD)
• An autographed photo of a minor league prospect

The Dodger Training Camps will take place at the GBG Training Academy in Redondo Beach, CA with more focused instructional camps.

Cost: $249

Instructor Ratio: 1 instructor for every 6 campers

Campers will receive:

• LA Dodgers T-Shirt
• Gift bag
• Commemorative photograph taken during camp
• Four (4) reserve level vouchers that can be redeemed for a Dodgers preseason game at Dodger Stadium (date TBD)
• An autographed photo of a minor league prospect

The camps will be instructed by Dodger minor league prospects including first-round picks Will Smith, Gavin Lux, and Walker Bueller and 2016 Arizona Fall League All-Stars Willie Calhoun and Alex Verdugo (subject to change).

There will be 10 minor league prospects assisting with the instruction of the three camps.
