While the Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off back-to-back World Series titles, the defending champions could very well be one of the more active teams this winter.

For many teams, the offseason serves as a time to rebuild or add pieces that could be the difference in a deep postseason run. The Dodgers are in a unique position, however, if LA proved anything last offseason it’s that the front office is unwilling to be complacent.
Though the Dodgers hoisted the Commissioner’s Trophy at the beginning of the month, there are still areas for the team to improve as they look to three-peat in 2026.
One such area is in the outfield, and for the second winter in a row, the crown jewel of the free agency class is an outfielder. Chicago Cubs star Kyle Tucker is projected to sign a landmark contract and the Dodgers will be in the running for him.
But similar to last winter’s pursuit of Juan Soto, the Dodgers are not expected to be the highest bidder. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports the Dodgers’ primary focus this offseason is strengthening their bullpen, which was a huge problem throughout 2025.
“The Los Angeles Dodgers, with $87 million coming off the books, will keep folks honest in the Kyle Tucker sweepstakes, but probably won’t be the high bidders – instead wanting to focus on shoring up their bullpen,” Nightengale writes. “They could pursue Edwin Diaz or Devin Williams, but rival executives expect them to go after former Tampa Bay Rays closer Pete Fairbanks, who has 75 saves with a 2.98 ERA the past three seasons.”
The Dodgers are hungry for a third straight World Series title, but that won’t happen unless LA’s front office executes another strong offseason.

Bull pen should be priority 1 we can get the scraps tucker belli or whomever afterwards.
One word: good. More words: The Dodgers do not need Tucker.
Totally agree. Teo, Edman, Pages taking the majoriry of the reps in the OF is fine. Re-sign Kike for another year and the OF is set with Call hitting against lefties from time to time. That bully needs help. Blake Treinen’s season, all considered, was a fluke. He’ll dominate again like he did in 2023 and 24. Yates needs to go. Scott needs demoted to setup or a filler roll. The rest of the guys, Klein, Casparias, Banda, Henriquez, etc are serviceable.
Good. Sign Bader and use the money saved to improve our shaky bullpen. Tucker is a RF and we need a CF. Pages is adequate in CF but better in RF. And Teo is a DH playing the outfield. Trade Teo and sign either Miguel Andujar or Austin Hays to play LF.
