Dodgers Notes: Dave Roberts Extension, Mookie Betts Position Change, Max Fried to LA?

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes spoke to reporters on Wednesday at the GM meetings, and had plenty of updates as the team heads into the offseason.

Gomes said Mookie Betts is expected to go back to playing in the infield in 2025. He also said the team wants to finalize a contract extension with Dave Roberts later this offseason.

  1. Why does Mookie want to play the infield? We have an abundance of infielders and, in my opinion, he will be subjected to more injuries on the infield as opposed to rightfield. What is his reasoning?
