Dodgers Notes: Friedman Speaks on Postseason Failure, What’s in Store for Kershaw?
Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman revealed last week that the Dodgers considered using an opener in the postseason, which could have taken pressure off the starting pitchers, who sputtered in each of their starts as the Dodgers were swept 3-0 in the NLDS by the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have a chance to clinch a spot in the World Series Tuesday night with a win over Philadelphia.
In other news, Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis gave his thoughts on the possible outcomes of the 2023 offseason for pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who has openly mulled retirement.
