Dodgers Notes: Key Pitcher’s Mysterious Injury, Will Smith Health Update, First Bullpen Spot Winner Revealed

An unknown injury has caused up and coming Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Edgardo Henriquez to roam around the clubhouse in a walking boot. Manager Dave Roberts wasn’t able to provide more details aside from the fact that the mishap occurred off the field.

In other injury news, after taking a pitch to the knee in a Cactus League game Tuesday evening, catcher Will Smith has an update on his health from Roberts. He was out of Wednesday’s contest, as well.

And finally, a young reliever has seemingly won one of the bullpen spots for Opening Day, as Roberts hinted at the right-hander’s addition to the pitching room. Key injuries as well as elevated play in Cactus League led to the skipper’s decision.
