Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Trade, Ex-Dodger Pitcher Brought Back, Tyler Glasnow Shut Down, Nolan Arenado Update

The Los Angeles Dodgers may have been off on Thursday, but they remained quite busy.

The Dodgers announced multiple roster moves to add some much-needed pitching depth to the roster ahead of a brutal 19 games in 20 days stretch coming up.

The Dodgers claimed a former L.A. pitcher off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks, and also acquired a pitcher from the Cardinals in a trade for cash considerations.

To make room on the 40-man roster, two key relievers were transferred to the 60-day IL.

In other news, the Dodgers recently shut down Tyler Glasnow from pitching, and an MLB insider provided a major update on the Nolan Arenado trade rumors.

  1. Muncy will never have an average above 200… he’s a fair 3rd basement…Aranodo brings a powerful hitting and fielding talent to the Dodgers…we need a strong hitting right hand hitter… The Aranado trade is a no- brainer
