Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Trade, Michael Kopech Has Surgery, Yoshinobu Yamamoto Replaced in All-Star Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-2, on Wednesday afternoon in walk-off fashion. LA fell to 56-38 on the year in their second consecutive series sweep and sixth straight loss.

Ahead of the eventual defeat, the Dodgers made a trade with, coincidentally, the Brewers. An outfielder was sent to Milwaukee in exchange for cash considerations.

Additionally, there has been an unfortunate injury update with relief pitcher Michael Kopech. The right-hander was moved to the 60-day injured list, and it was later revealed that he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Finally, Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s spot in the All-Star Game has been replaced by a Cincinnati Reds pitcher. Yamamoto will be pitching in the series finale against the San Francisco Giants making him ineligible to pitch in the Midsummer Classic.
