Dodgers Notes: LA to Pursue $500 Million Outfielder, Blake Snell Suffers Setback, Shohei Ohtani Rejected 15-Year Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-1, on Mother’s Day, as they improved to 27-14 on the year and split the electric four-game set in the desert.

Additionally, there may be even more star power on the way to Los Angeles as the Dodgers are reportedly going to go after superstar Kyle Tucker this offseason, despite a half-billion-dollar contract expectation. Tucker is an elite outfielder for the Chicago Cubs and is on an expiring contract.

Speaking of big-money players, Blake Snell has suffered an unfortunate setback on his road to returning to the mound. Snell was supposed to start the throwing portion of his recovery program on this recent trip to Phoenix, but will instead meet with Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday.

Finally, Shohei Ohtani’s agent recently revealed that his client could have inked a 15-year deal before signing his 10-year, $700 million deal ahead of the 2024 campaign. With all that he has already done in a Dodgers uniform, another five years at the end of his career doesn’t sound too bad.
